Murcia, Capital of Gastronomy 2020

Murcia, Capital of Gastronomy 2020

From January 1st, Murcia will be the Spanish Capital of Gastronomy, an award granted by the Spanish Hospitality Federation (FEHR) and the Spanish Federation of Tourism Journalists and Writers (FEPET). Throughout the year 2020, the city will hold this condition, with a special program of activities to promote local cuisine. Murcia, so many times considered “the great unknown”, follows to Almeria and will have a golden opportunity to exhibit its excellences and potential foods.

Zarangollo, cordero asado, pastel de carne, michirones, ensalada murciana, parrillada de verduras, caldero, migas, arroces, marineras y paparajote are standard upsets of our culinary offer, along with the denominations of origin (wines from Yecla, Jumilla and Bullas, the Calasparra rice, Murcia paprika, Jumilla pear, Murcia cheese and Murcia cheese with wine).

El Clarín, as a paprika company, is proud and grateful for this recognition and observes in it a great opportunity to expand the name of Murcia and our paprika among its national and international clients.

We invite you to know our region, our gastronomy, our paprika and our facilities … You will be surprised.
