12 Feb „EL CLARIN“ SOLIDARITY
Clarín Spices SL will collaborate with „Manos Unidas“ through the Solidarity Market manged by „Colegio Teresiano del Pilar“ (Zaragoza) on February 24 to obtain funds to cover a project awarded in Mozambique.
The district of Marien Ngouabi, where the project is located, is situated in the outskirts of the Xai-Xai city. There is where a large part of the population was displaced by the Municipal Government due to the flooding of the Limpopo River in 2013. Floods left them asolated without homes or equipment. They live in tents and precarious tin houses, some bricks and hurdle. 60% of the population is under 14 years old.
One of the serious problems of the population is the lack of sanitation and hygiene since in the whole neighborhood there is no wastewater treatment or sewage disposal with only some collective latrines.
The objective of this project is the construction of a public bath house, with a total of 10 toilets and showers for children and adults, all differentiated in their male or female usage.
Direct: 550 children and adults who come daily to their facilities.
Indirect: all members of the village of Marien Ngouabi.
